The protection of your data is important to us. We process personal data carefully and comply with the provisions of applicable data protection laws. General information on data processing

We process personal data that you provide to us as well as data that is collected automatically or manually when you visit our website. We process your personal data primarily for the purpose stated at the time of collection, for example to subscribe to our newsletter, to respond to your enquiry, to process your participation in events or an order, or to process your membership or donation. In addition, we also process your data for marketing purposes within the framework of the applicable laws, for example to tailor awareness-raising campaigns or donation communications to your interests in a personalized manner, to display relevant information and content to you, and to provide you with personalized offers tailored to your interests. Furthermore, your data is used to analyze customer behavior or to evaluate the use of our offers. Your data will not be passed on to third parties. The only exceptions to this are service partners that we involve for technical or organizational services to the extent that we require them for fulfilling the aforementioned purposes or our other business activities (printers, IT/financial service providers, telemarketing agencies).

Processing personal data

When you use Biovision offers and services, when you contact us (by email, telephone, email or letter), or when you submit an online form (event registrations, order placements, enquiries by email, etc.), we will store the data you provide (your email address, name, address, date of birth and/or your telephone number, if applicable). The communication of this information is on a voluntary basis and with your consent. To the extent that this involves information on communication channels (email address, postal address, telephone number), you also consent to us contacting you via this communication channel. You can revoke this consent at any time. You may also request that we delete the corresponding personal data at any time.

  • Alternatively, you can email a corresponding message (subject: data protection) to info@biovision.ch or inform us by telephone.

Cookies, tracking and other technologies related to the use of our website

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a simple, small file that your web browser places on your computer and stores when you visit our website. You are thus recognized when you visit this website again, without us knowing who you are. In addition to session cookies that are only used during a session and deleted at the end of your visit, permanent cookies can also be used to store user settings and other information for a certain time period. You can set your browser to reject cookies. You can also specify which cookies may be placed (technical or functional cookies, analytical cookies, marketing/tracking cookies) or set your browser to notify you when a cookie is placed. We use cookies to provide you with the most user-oriented access to our site and to help us better understand how you use our offers and content. If you deactivate cookies, certain functions such as language selection or ordering processes may no longer function properly.

You can find more information in our Cookie Policy.

Web analytics with Google Analytics

To analyze and further develop our website, we use the functions of the web analysis services Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager of Google Inc. in the USA (www.google.com). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable website usage analysis. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The data gives us the opportunity to optimize our website for you. We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. All data is therefore anonymous. Google only tells us how our website is used, not any information about you personally.

You can prevent data collection generated by cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Forms and ReCaptcha V3

We create our forms with the Elementor Pro plugin, which does not store your data on its own servers and therefore does not share it with third parties. The whole website is SSL encrypted to protect your data in the best possible way. To prevent attacks from bots, we protect forms with Google ReCaptcha V3. This service runs in the background and uses a variety of factors to analyze whether requests are human or automated, such as the user’s click or scroll behavior. This data is collected and processed by Google and is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

Social Media and Social Media Analysis

We use the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) to better analyze our social media activities. Facebook is part of Meta (based in the EU: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland), and its use of the pixel enables it to collect data about your behavior on our website and display it in its analytics tool. This only works if you are logged into Facebook when visiting our website. Biovision has no influence on the purpose and scope of data collection or its further processing and use by Facebook. These are subject to Facebook’s data protection regulation. In your profile settings on Facebook, you can see information about your privacy rights and privacy settings options.
