Reviving Traditional Knowledge

As society changes, valuable knowledge about the sustainable use of soil, water and seeds is increasingly being forgotten. With the project partner Institute for Culture and Ecology (ICE), we promote traditional knowledge and bring it together with new findings.

Using measures to preserve nature and traditional knowledge, Biovision is working with local partners to strengthen food security and boost incomes; this in turn will bring about sustainable improvement in the living standards of people in rural Kenya. The farmers participating in the project are being trained not only in organic methods for growing avocados and macadamia nuts and producing honey but also in methods for storage and marketing.
