The Biovision Foundation Board has unanimously elected Anders Gautschi as the new CEO. Hans R. Herren, the President of the Foundation Board, is delighted by the decision: \u201cWith his diverse professional and interpersonal skills as well as his solid leadership experience, Anders Gautschi is an excellent choice. With him at the helm of Biovision, we will come closer to our goal: a food system with a future.\u201d<\/p>

The 54-year-old was head of the Swiss Association for Transport and Environment (VCS) until 2024 before a sabbatical. He lives in Bern, is the father of two children and originally studied agricultural sciences. His broad expertise in the fields of agriculture and consumption, combined with experience ranging from the field to the federal government, complete his profile. Mr Gautschi is very motivated by the new challenge: \u201cBiovision is an innovative and dynamic organisation. I am looking forward to working with the staff, the Foundation Board and the partner organisations to contribute to an environmentally and socially sustainable food system.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Since February 2024, the management of Biovision has been the collective responsibility of the management team. This followed the mutual termination of the employment relationship between the Biovision Foundation Board and the former CEO, Dr Frank Eyhorn.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

About Anders Gautschi<\/h2>

Anders Gautschi studied agronomy. For more than five years, he led the Transport and Environment Association (ATE) before taking on the role as director at Biovision. His extensive expertise in the fields of agriculture and consumption, as well as his experience both in the field as a farmer and in politics at the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), complete his profile. Among other roles, Anders Gautschi headed the Consumption and Products section at FOEN, dealt with agricultural policy issues at the Swiss Association for Mountain Regions (SAB), and founded an agricultural production company in Tuscany. Born in 1970, he is the father of two children and lives in Bern.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
