Stefanie has been working as a program manager in the Policy and Advocacy team at Biovision since 2010 and is currently implementing the project “Advocacy for Agroecology”. The goal of the program is to promote a sustainable food system guided by agroecological principles. Stefanie is also a member of the Swiss national FAO Committee (CNS FAO).
Together with her team at Biovision, Stefanie implemented the program "Changing Course in Global Agriculture", co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), from 2012-2018. Its goal was to initiate a global shift from conventional agriculture to more sustainable food systems by influencing policy processes and political frameworks worldwide. At the international level, many activities were implemented in the context of the Committee on World Food Security in Rome and in New York in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Before joining Biovision, Stefanie studied Human Geography, Political and Environmental Science at the University of Zurich. After her studies, she worked for the German society for international cooperation GIZ in India strengthen the participation and awareness of slum dwellers regarding water and sanitation.
