The Biovision Foundation is part of a delegation present at the fourth conference of the Stockholm Convention (COP4: chm.pops.int), taking place in Geneva. From the 4th to the 8th of May, 150 member states of the Stockholm Convention were debating the enforcement of bans on dangerous pesticides. An important item on the agenda was DDT, which has become again a serious issue in malaria control. Together with icipe and the Millennium Institute, Biovision is presenting the methods and results from its environmentally sound malaria projects, where remarkable success is achieved without the use of toxic pollutants.
