Pascal Schällibaum is responsible for finance and human resources at Biovision. He works in a trusteeship capacity. Previously he gained several years experience in various industries in the areas of finance, accounting, IT, organisation and human resources. This is the first time he has worked for a non-profit organisation and he especially likes the fact that he is not only managing numbers and figures, but that through his work he is helping people in Africa and contributing to sustainable development. Furthermore, he considers his role particularly interesting because Biovision is a small, but growing organisation.
In his free time, Pascal Schällibaum likes to enjoy nature – preferably on the golf course, where he can be active outdoors close to mountains, lakes and forests. During his stay in South Africa he also played golf and he was fascinated by the diversity of landscapes and the wilderness. The people of South Africa with their rich culture and traditions made a deep impression on him. His interest in travelling already led him to different continents and countries before, a world trip that took him from Asia to North America was particularly inspiring for him. His curiosity and interest to meet people from different cultures helps him managing international contacts that his daily work schedule includes. While travelling, he experienced how the everyday life on the Fiji Islands is different to the one in Australia, or that people from South Africa manage problems differently compared to Russians. “Thanks to that experience, I’m able to approach people from different cultures with openness and understanding for their perspectives?, Pascal Schällibaum says and highlights: “That’s a good basis for a fruitful collaboration?
