How we work

Partnerships

Collaborations

Biovision tackles the goal of sustainable, ecological development in collaboration with local and international partner organisations. Close ties of cooperation already exist for information and training programmes, as well as for further development of regionally adapted methods of farming in harmony with nature, organic pest control and disease vector control.

Biovision works directly with the following goal-related development organisations and research institutes:

  • icipe International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology
  • BEA BioEconomy Association, Ethiopia
  • FiBL Forschungsinstitut für Biolandbau
  • Helvetas
  • KEMRI Kenyan Medical Research Institute
  • PRAXIS Ethiopia
  • DLCO-EA Desert Locust Control Organisation East Africa
  • KARI Kenyan Agricultureal Research Institute
  • KU Kenyatta University
  • KWS Kenyan Wildlife Service
  • TSBF Tropical Soil Biology and Fertility Institute

In order to expand the network and efficiently disseminate ecological methods, Biovision also collaborates specifically with qualified, locally anchored organisations and institutions in Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia. Many local NGOs, self-help groups and societies, as well as official government agencies are also part of the growing network.
